President Mohammadu Buhari has reiterated his stance on the fight
against Boko Haram by his government saying the dreaded terrorist group holds
no local government in any of the north eastern states of Nigeria. He also said
his government has recorded great success in fighting the sect who has terrorized
Nigeria for a long time now.
The president while answering questions on Al Jazeerah recently said he has not failed in his war
against the dreaded Boko Haram group saying what the group has resorted to is using
improvised explosive devices blowing off targets which is a different kind of
terrorism which will be difficult to eliminate because it is more of a
technological based and intelligence gathering related to combat such acts.
Buhari who said before he came to power Boko Haram was
controlling 14 out of the 774 local government in Nigeria but claimed right now
the group has no control over any local government in Nigeria attributing that
to his effort in fighting the terrorist group with a more determined Nigerian
army and other security agencies.
