No Forex For Students Abroad And Foreign Medical Trips- President Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has stated that he has the money to train his children abroad because he could afford it and advises Nigerians who wants to send their wards and family abroad for studies to raise forex from parallel market popularly called black market as the federal government would no longer source for foreign currency for those studying abroad and medical trips abroad.
The President while answering question on Al Jazeera interview session aired on Saturday while in Qatar over the weekend also spoke about other issues like the economy, the Boko Haram and Nigeria reason for joining the Islamic countries coalition in fighting terrorism and the independence state for the Palestinians took time out to explain why his government is going against International Monetary Fund IMF advise to devalue the Naira.

In his words President Buhari said there is no need to dialogue with the Indigenous  People of Biafra IPOB because to him it’s a criminal body who is threatening the peace and unity of the country and that his Government will not tolerate them. On Corruption fight the President specifically said everyone knows where the issue of Sambo Dasuki will end suggesting the former National Security Adviser  NSA will end up in jail for misappropriating billions of dollars meant for the fight against the dreaded Boko Haram group while he was in office during the Jonathan’s administration.

On sourcing for forex to settle form A for Nigerian students studying abroad the President said those who has money to buy Dollars from black market should go ahead to make payment for school fees and other payments abroad as the Government is faced with enormous pressure from the demand of settlement of such fees by Central Bank Of Nigeria. He also advised those who wants to travel abroad on medical trip should source for foreign currencies to make sucj trips as Government will ban of the sales of forex for such trips henceforth. He said he could afford to send his own kids to school abroad and parents who could also afford to do so as well should make effort to source for foreign currency to send to their wards.


On the fight against Boko Haram, President Buhari said his government is wining the war against the insurgents as the group has no ability to take hold of any local government in the North east or Nigeria. He further said the dreaded terrorist group were  in control of 14 local government before he took over on 29th may 2015 but could only planned suicide and separate attacks for now as against the coordinated attacks and invasion of towns and cities that was the order of the day before.
