Arsenal's Alex Iwobi Suffers From Food Poisoning On Nigeria's Duty.

Nigerian Arsenal youngster Alexander Iwobi  had been hospitalized in an hospital in Abuja the Nigerian capital after he suffered from food poisoning while on international duty with the Nigeria super Eagles. Although report suggest he should be alright today Tuesday 22^nd to participate in the training by 5 pm for the Friday’s crucial game against Egypt.

The Super Eagles coach Samson Siasia confirmed the news during his Tuesday press conference ahead of the crucial clash with the Egyptian National team. He said the 19 year old suffered from a food poisoning so he could not take part in training yesterday but his condition is stable at the moment. Siasia said the Arsenal man will return to training with his team mates in Abuja later today ahead of the week’s vital and must win African Cup of Nations qualifier against the Pharaoh of Egypt.

Alexander Iwobi the Nephew of Nigeria ex international and former Bolton Fc player Jay Jay Okocha was said to have suffered from a bit of diarrhoes due to a change of food and environment, but he should train the squad this evening Tuesday says Nigeria Super eagles media officer Toyin Ibitoye. Iwobi who scored Arsenal’s second goal and his fist ever premier league goal on Saturday against Everton in his second Arsenal ‘s first team start of his career having started for Arsenal  last week in Nou Camp against Barcelona in a Champions League match on Wednesday.

In a related news, The English Football Association is trying to make a last minute effort to make the under 21 Arsenal player switch his allegiance to England having featured in two friendly matches for Nigeria. Technically Iwobi is still qualified to play for England as he has not taken part in any competitive match for Nigeria interestingly that won’t be the case after this Friday game against Egypt the talented young player will not be able to play for no other nation except Nigeria, even though he was born and raised in England.
