Buhari Dissociates Self From I Stand With Buhari Group. Says Its Not Time To Celebrate Yet

President Muhamadu Buhari has dissociated himself from the activities of The I Stand With Buhari Group.  The I stand with Buhari group is a controversial social media advocacy group celebrating President  Buhari and his achievement so far. More so the group is actively campaigning for support for President Muhammadu Buhari on all social media platform and currently in the final stages of organizing a 9 million man march for the President in Abuja and all the states of the federation.

In a press statement released in Abuja today Friday 25^th march by the senior special assistant to the president on media and publicity, Mallam Garba shehu. He warned the group from further using the name of President  Buhari  for its advocacy and campaigning activities. This is coming after months intense activities of the I stand with Buhari group on various platform especially on Facebook and twitter in which several activities of the group are being propagated, the SA on media and publicity also warn the group against using the president wife’s name Mrs Aisha Buhari forthwith  in promoting their activities

Garba shehu said the Presidency directive to dissociate itself from The I stand with Buhari group is borne out of the fact that the president doesn’t believe in early or premature and unnecessary celebration of its successes at this stage of the president’s administration. He said its too early to start celebration, and that the government would legitimately do so when the time is right for such. The SA on Media and Publicity assured Nigerians that by the time President Buhari administration successfully and decisively tackled the various social economic problem and insecurity challenges posed by the dreaded Boko Haram terrorist group the drums shall be rolled out to celebrate meeting Nigerians expectations.

Having recorded significant successes in the war against corruption and in the fight against the Boko Haram terrorists group which has weaken the activities and the capacity of the group and putting in place measures to revive the dwindling economy, Shehu  said the unnecessary celebrations and hype is trying to propagate doesn’t is not in line with the President philosophy of service with humanity.

The I stand With Buhari group has a Director General and state executives in all the 36 states of the federation. The group is already planning staging a 9 million man march for President Buhari  on 31^st March 2016 tagged Affirmation March in March.
