It was an emotional evening for one of African veteran actress and a Nollywood living legend Buki Ajayi as she was presented with Industry merit award at the 2016 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards AMVCA on Saturday March 5 at the Eko Hotel Lagos Nigeria.
Buki Ajayi who was in tears when she was carried to the podium on wheelchair probably due to old age was full of praises for organisers for remembering her and specifically asked the younger Actors at the venue to forgive her if she had in anyway wronged any of them in the course of her career in acting also said she has forgiven all who had wronged her as well.
Buki Ajayi started her career in the 60's after she came back from England where she went to study and came back to Nigeria in 1975. She converted to Islam in the early 80's and added the name Zainab to her name.
The veteran living legend was honoured for her contribution to the movie industry in Nigeria and entertainment world in general.
