FG Airlifted & Released N5Billion To Amaechi To Influence Outcome Of Rivers Rerun Election - PDP Alleges

Rivers state Chairman of The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,  Felix Obuah has alleged that sum of N5billion was airlifted and released to Mr Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi the Minister of Transportation by Federal Government agents from Abuja for the purpose of compromising and influencing The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC personnel and security agents participating in the Rivers rerun elections.


According to a statement by Jerry Needam, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Rivers State PDP Chairman, the party called on the international community and relevant security agencies to investigate the release and distribution of the said N5billion which took the passengers of the commercial airline by surprise as it was offloaded into CBN bullion trucks on the tarmac of the Port Harcourt International Airport.

The Peoples Democratic Party went on to release pictures of the unloading of the money into CBN trucks at the Port-Harcourt airport as taken by its informant via its twitter handle @pdpnigeria which socked Nigerians as it took place a night before the rerun elections slated for today 19th March and on a night when there was a public holiday announced by the state government for Thursday and Friday. The party consequently advised that all those found to be involved in this alleged illegal trafficking of funds for the rerun elections should be prosecuted.


In a related news, The Peoples Democratic Party PDP  also posted pictures of an APC thug caught in the state with military and Mobile police uniform gun, mobile phones and live bullets who confessed to belong to the camp of Chidi Loyd an APC stalwart in Rivers state. The suspect who claimed he is from Delta state and was called up by a friend for a special job in Rivers. He was also believed to have said a sum of 150,000 naira was promised them after the operations by Chidi Loyd.
