No Money was Found In My House - Alex Badeh

Contrary to reports which emanated yesterday by the Economic And Financial Crimes Commission EFCC that $1,000,000 cash was found in the house of former Chief Of Defence Staff CDS Air Vice Marshall Alex S. Bader, his lawyers has described the story as false and a campaign of calumny against the former Chief of Defence Staff. 

Badeh who was arrested by the EFCC over allegations of misappriating riating N3.97B from the account of The Nigerian Airforce while in office as the Chief of Air Staff in 2013 before he was made Chief of Defence Staff under the Dr. Goodluck Jonathan Administration. According to his lawyers Mr Samuel Zibiri, no such thing as One Million Dollars cash was found in the retired Air force chief, saying it's just an attempt to bring his client to disrepute he maintained that if the EFCC is sure of what it's saying they should come out with evidence proving the allegation.
Badeh who was ordered to be remanded at Kuje maximum prison yesterday pending the hearing on his bail application on 10th of March will remain in Prison at least till that date. The trial which was adjourned till 14 March will after the bail decision would ve been decided will begin having pleaded not guilty to all the 10 count charges brought against him by the EFCC through its lawyer Adebisi Adeniyi yesterday in court.  In a statement issued yesterday by Samuel Zibri SAN, on behalf of Badeh, said: “The said publication is not only malicious but wicked. It is totally false and smacks of media campaign of calumny against the person of my client, the former Chief of Defence Staff, Air Marshal Alex. A Badeh (rtd).
“The 10-count charge against our client along with the proof of evidence in the Federal High Court are public documents and can be accessed by the general public.
“There is no such allegation and we challenge the faceless EFCC (Economic and Financial Crimes Commission) official to substantiate his claim. Th Lawyer stated.
Meanwhile, Prison authorities confirmed Badeh who arrived at t Kuje Prison at about 11am yesterday we gathered has refused to eat food from the prison but opted to buy his own food.
