Those Who Are Complaining Of Darkness Should Go And Fight Pipeline Vandals- Buhari's Spokesman

The Special Assistance on media and publicity to the President  Mr Olufemi  Adesina has told Nigerians who are complaining of darkness in the country to go and face the vandals attacking oil facilities in the Niger Delta instead of blaming President Buhari’s administration.
The SA while answering questions on a live Television Programme on Channels TV last night said electricity generation dropped from over 5000mw to a little over 1500mw in the last couple weeks as a result of vandalism taking place in the Niger Delta areas in Bayelsa and Delta states was responsible for the darkness that has persisted in the country.

Recall that the NNPC Group Managing Director and Minister of state for petroleum Dr Ibe Kachikwu earlier in the week told Nigerians he is not a magician and cannot solve the lingering fuel scarcity magically. The president spokesman again made this infuriating statement barely 3 days to the statement made by Kachikwu which stir anger and backlash from the people including the All Progressive Congress leader Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the weekend.

Femi Adesina blamed gas pipeline vandals for the drastic frop in pwer generation in the country while claiming that the targeted 10,000Megawatts set by the Buhari led federal government is achieveable. He however told Nigerians who are complaining about the incessant power outage and almost non-existent power supply in the country to go and fight the vandals in the Niger Delta if they really needed uninterrupted power supply.
