Lagos Court Orders South African Woman To Forfeit $374,000 To FG

A South African woman Ngqula Nosisi Pam was yesterday ordered by a Federal High  Court to forfeit $374,355 to the Federal Government of Nigeria.
She was convicted for money laundering and bulk cash smuggling into Nigeria when she was arrested and arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission at the Lagos Airport on February 1, 2016 with the said amount.



Ms Ngqula had maintained that the 5 packs of coats containing the cash was given to her in Johannesburg by a Nigerian Pastor based in South Africa, Prophet Cyprian Chigere, to be delivered to one Damian Akamelu in Lagos.
The Judgement was yesterday March 4,2016 delievered by Justice Olatoregun C.M. of the Federal High Court in Lagos.
