The deceased husband Pastor Olawale Elisha who is
also a pastor at the Divine Touch Parish of RCCG said his wife had gone out to
preach in their area at about 5 am only for him to hear pf the news of her
death shortly afterwards. My wife always
goes out early in the morning for evangelism and there was this particular day
she came back and told me that there is a mosque at the back where they were
making some comments about what she said and I just cautioned her to be
careful. Pastor Elisha said.
Describing how he found out, the deceased husband said. “She went around 5
am and I was still in bed because we did vigil which she participated in for a
while because of the ‘Morning Cry’ she planned to undertake. Two of my boys are
footballers, so they went to the field to play. And when they came back, they
told me that they heard some footballers saying that some hoodlums had
butchered a woman who was preaching early this morning.
Although, the case is still under investigation, one member of the vigilante
group in the area said they heard someone screaming blood of Jesus blood of Jesus
very early in the morning and bu the time they could get there the victim had
already given up. The claim of the vigilante member corroborated the fears of
the resident of the area who said he suspected the “maibola” boys in the area
who picks dirt and garbage around the area. It was alleged that the activities
of the boys has been disturbing in recent times but all effort to get Police to
do something about it has been in futility.
