In a post made available on another twitter account opened by the Avengers on @NDAAvengers1 the militant group posted on the new handle reads “We @NDAAvengers1 can authoritatively confirm to you that Nigerian Government led by @MBuhari bribed #Twitter and #Google with money from our resources to suspend our accounts, but they cannot stop our struggle. #Boom continues until the economy collapses.” The group wrote.

The group who boasted on its new handle that if the new account is blocked another will spring up back with a bang. They group equally posted series of twwets of blowing up of Chevron well 10 close Otunana flow station and NPDC manifold close to Banta and two PPMC/NNPC crude oil trunk lines in the Niger Delta. The Avengers group went on to boast that had Nigeria knew they wouldn’t have taken the wrong step they took apparently referring to the move the federal government to get their account suspended.
Although Twitter Incorporated does not comment or make public on individual accounts for privacy and security reasons but sources from Twitter NG said Avengers account was suspended in line with the social media site policy, which detailed specific rule pertaining to violent threats. Twitter’s policy says users cannot make threats of violence or promote violence, including threatening or promoting terrorism. The avenger’s militant group was believed to have contravened this policy by using the medium as its main form of communication to make public its claims of attacks on government facilities and in attacking and criticizing the Federal government.

The Niger Delta Avengers militant group resumed attacks on oil facilities in the Niger Delta region yesterday after few days of ceasefire arrangement the group has with the federal government. It was reported last week by the spokesperson of the group Sibiri Taiowoh  that a new group ultimate Warriors of Niger Delta UWND has pulled out of the temporal ceasefire agreement saying the dialogue committee constituted by the federal government are not showing seriousness in its dealings and means they are only biding time. The group according to their spokesman blamed President Muhammadu Buhari for the renewed attacks saying that the president’s policy reversals would surely bounce on him.
